Drupal 7.x

I am completely new to Drupal & am interested in learning, but am having trouble finding any sort of basic guide to the underlying structure of Drupal & best practices when adding code. The information I have found is all either related to upgrading from 6 or how to use a specific Drupal function. Here are some of the things I want to know:

1 - I want to add a single line of Javascript to my home page. How do I do this? Create a new Module? Create a new Theme? Create a sub-theme? Is there a module I can install that lets me do this easily?

my goal is to propose sounds to singer via a secure environnement such as drupal but i cant (or i didnt search very well) a way to put into a article a single mp3 player per article or in the worst case a mp3 player with play list How to do ?

I have recently upgraded my site to drupal 7 and have encountered so many problems that my site is now almost useless. The site is http://indiegame.us/ and I have installed previous modules that had drupal 7 support but not I constantly get errors and encounter problems causing my website to be useless and I cannot seem to get them all fixed. I am hoping I could get some assistance here. On the site users uploaded Games and also flash games that they created providing a community and place for them to get reviews on their games.

I am looking for a module to display ads on my Drupal 7 site. I thought about openx module and integrate it with Openx server. But now I can see this module is probably not supported.
Is there any other alternative which you could suggest?

I am new on drupal and directly started using drupal 7. I am working on a sample website and I received the following error many times in a day:
