Drupal 7.x

Ive got stuck in this problem.. tried with all i know but cant.

I want to have customs page templates files as page--type--general-information.tpl.php

in the theme template.php ive aded this

I installed Drupal 7.0 and modules. On page reports/updates it says that everything is updated, but page Status Check shows errors: module is not enabled. I can not re-activate or deactivate modules, because the page /admin/modules does not show properly.
How can I save this problem?

Details: I installed modules: Internationalization 7.x-1.0-beta3, Language Switcher 7.x-1.0-beta1, Localization update 7.x-1.0-alpha3, Translation Management 7.x-1.0-beta1, Variable 7.x-1.0-beta2

On page /#overlay=admin/reports/updates it says that everything is updated, but
on page /#overlay=admin/config/regional/translation-management/icl-check shows errors.
The same errors also indicating on the page /#overlay=admin/reports/dblog:

i18n Menu i18nmenu module not enabled
Enable the i18nmenu module so that the contact form menu can be translated.
i18n Taxonomy i18ntaxonomy module is not enabled
Enable the i18ntaxonomy module if you want to have taxonomy translated.
i18n Blocks i18nblocks module is not enabled
Enable the i18nblocks module if you want to have taxonomy translated.

Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$nid in icl_content_nodeapi() (line 1000 of /var/www/users/....../drupal-7.0/sites/all/modules/translation_management/icl_content/icl_content.module).

I am using inbuilt Poll Module in my website. I have set the permission so that anybody including anonymous user can vote and view the results. Anonymous users are getting Access Denied error when they try to view results of the poll. Please Help.

I'd like to know if I can install a jQuery plugins not using a Module.
I'm not a module developer yet and new jquery plugins come out every day.

Then, what if I need to use one of them right away?
Can I include files and use it in the 'standar' way?

I have implemented a hook function hook_menu_alter in a module I have created. I have printed something inside that function call but nothing shows up. Though the function hook_init() is executed from the same module. The output of the hook_init shows up in the page but not from the hook_menu_alter. I have created a menu from Structure>Add menu. So, I have two menus showing up in my page, one is 'Main Menu' from default drupal installation. I have tried clearing cache too. But nothing works. Do somebody has any idea regarding this issue?

I want my new users to choose a group to join upon registering for an account, but I can't figure out how to add the list of my groups to the registration page. I am using the -dev version of Organic groups and have added the Groups audience field to the user account settings, and have also checked the box "Display on user registration form" and I still can't get my groups to show up. What else am I missing. Does anyone know how to use the Organic groups register module?
