Drupal 7.x

I have been tring to explore different colour schemes.

Firstly, I just selected different colour schemes for the default theme but nothing comes up - in fact the colours are absent and content is just on a white background.

It's a newly installed D7, no non core modules.

Any ideas what's up?

If I try to align an image or paragraph in my wysiwyg editor (either CKEditor or TinyMCE), the style gets stripped from the live version. It does show up in the editor properly. Is there any method of preventing this stripping without having to provide the user with full html access? I'm using Drupal 7.

I'm running Drupal 7, with Views 3 and References. I have a content type called "Session," and another called "Session Time." The Session Time content type has a node reference field, which points to a node from the Session content type.

I've placed an htacess file with the code below into my sites/default/files/myfolder with a bunch of art files. I wanted to use it so that when I create an anchor tag and link to one of those files it will download the file rather than take you to a page with the image on it.

Now I want to a custom css file for each of my custom template files. I am confused as to how to go about doing this ?

First of I thank all who will answer my question in advance.

Now to my issue or issues I still can't determine which will it be or maybe I don't have an issue and just letting my research and excessive reading over the web get to my head.

I am originally a Designer & Photographer, I designing websites for the past 7 years now. In the past 4 years I have started making templates for Joomla CMs and have heavily depended on Joomla. Eventually I went over my fears and started learning PHP, and have come realize A LOT of things about the web and CMS's. I have started using PHP for the last 6 months and you can say I am still a beginner. So enough with the quick background summary. And Now...

I have come to realize that Drupal is the only logical choice to go for for the level I have reached with my clients and the services I have started to develop for them. When it comes to a quick simple site I always just use Joomla, but when I need something to depend on I realize that Drupal will save my butt from future disasters in performance and such and a "red face" moments with clients.

However, there is this huge issue with Drupal that is extremely bothering me. (Please remember I am come from a designer background).
