Hey!

I need weekly newsletter to be sent to subscribed email addresses. The problem is - the newsletter has to include last weeks published content titles, but only the content they are interested in.

So, when subscribing, they should have an opportunity to choose between check-boxes. For example:
Possible choices are computers, music, nature, politics. Anonymous person chooses computers & music. After that, he/she is weekly going to receive titles/links of the last week contents, that have taxonomy term reference computers or music.

I must apologize before writing the rest of this post. I'm frustrated and slightly angry (at myself, mainly) that I can't figure this out even with all the posts here about this very same problem.

Now, I understand this subject has been discussed many times before. However, I'm really feeling stupid, because I don't understand the posts that I've read about this. I really don't... The posts always seem to get away from the basics. I'm neither a coder nor a professional site builder. I just want to build MY site and learn as I go along. So far so good...until this problem.

The step-by-steps I have seen include the following:

1) Create a new term
2) Assign content to the term
3) A page full content with the following path taxonomy/term/TID will be created, where TID is the term number.
4) Create a menu item with a path to #3 above.

Okay, so... HUH!? A new TERM?? Where? Taxonomy? Sure, but to what vocabulary? What is a "page full content"? WHAT TID???????? Do I make one up, or is it already assigned? If assigned, it;s not in the Admin screen, that I can see anyway. Create a menu item with a path to #3 above?? To what? The page? The article? The TID number (assigned or not)?

How do you create a menu item that does nothing?

I'm creating a menu with submenus and I don't want to make the top parent of the menu doing anything at all. I can only put a link or a node in the link and the menu creation won't let me leave the path blank.

After installing my site, i could not install theme or modules. My Hosting provider does not allow to do so. the only way i can author files is using the ftp client. Is there any option to set the ftp details manually like that is possible for joomla. Please let me know if there are an ways and how to do it.

I've been trying to resolve this problem for over a week now but am still no further forward.

I'm setting up a website which I hoped would have side bars containing different images on different pages.

I've created a sidebar block with an image code in it for the landing page. This image works ok and shows up on the web page.

On the next page I have a new sidebar block with an image code in it. The text of the sidebar block shows but not the image.

I have made a site with drupal 6 having panel & views. There I set NID as argument and works very well.
But I failed to make that with drupal 7. How can I send NodeID argument from panel to views.
