Drupal 7.x

Hi,
now I decided to use Drupal but I even don't get the Installation now :(
I downloaded the newest Version 7, several times and uploaded the files to my webserver.
The server ist totally new and has not seen any drupal installation before.
I start the install.php, then the error is shown.
it comes from the module.inc file and is thrown here:

I think I found a bug or... It's me and maybe need some help :)

I've made a Drupal 7 site with in the top of the site a main navigation and on the left side a sidebar with a submenu.
In the main nav I have for example a few links, like... 'Home', 'About' and 'Contact'.
And in the submenu (for example) I have links named 'Projects-subpage' and 'Links-subpage'.
Every link/button has its own page, with some content on it.
Here's the/my problem...

showing the first 5 blog posts on the main page?

I was wondering if there was a way to show the latest 5 blog post on the main page so whenever I post a new blog post it will automatically be posted on the front page ?

Hello,

I would like to translate my main menu into two languages, switchable via a language switcher. I've read many form posts and I am still very lost.

Basically, for each menu item, I want to have a Primary (English) and secondary (German) text. I can't find the option to add alternative next to any menu item.

Also, it seems that in Drupal 7, maybe of the older config URLs are different than drupal 6 and such, so many of the tutorials I have found aren't so useful.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi all, newbie here and still learning. Can someone tell me if the ecommerce module is preinstalled in 7.0 or does it have to be installed?

Can anyone share inputs on solving our problem at hand? We integrate Drupal with several other systems, whereas users are authenticated to Drupal when log onto the site, but users will also need to access other systems but we want to avoid logon prompts when accessing other systems. The user info will also be kept on all other systems.

We are thinking to use a LDAP to store the user db centrally, and Drupal and other systems import the user db from LDAP. Will this work? if so what modules can do this? if not, what are the alternatives?
