Drupal 7.x

I really can't find a working solution for Drupal 7. The question is simple:

I create a custom block. Now I want to load the content of a specific node in this block (example: Node 1).

What PHP code do I have to put into the block?

Ive got this friend of mine im helping building a site in drupal 7 for. And he got this search function to search for items in the store.
The site is a sell/buy site for users who wants to sell or buy a bike.

I would add a default menu to node wihtout menu. I found this article for Drupal 6 (http://drupal.org/node/369854) but it do not work in Drupal 7. Thanks for helping me :)

Hi Drupal community, total newbie here trying to set up an Atrium CMS intranet for the first time for my small business. I get past the Verify Requirements step, but can't get past the Configure Database step. So here's what I have:

-Rolled out a LAMP stack VM from Bitnami.
-This uses phpmyadmin... allows local access by default only, changed configuration files to allow remote access from another box, also enabled SSH to use WinSCP to transfer files to the VM
-logged into phpmyadmin and created new database 'Atrium' with User (password User) with full access to everything
-Copied the contents of the Atrium install into root web directory (somewhere in /apache2 path)
-changed permissions of sites/default (chmod a+w)
-created sites/default/files manually with open permissions
-Launched web install script from http://aa.aa.aa.aa/install.php and choose the Atrium install
-works fine until I hit snag at Set up Database step.

I created variant node template by using ctools - Pages/Add custom page

I have problem with configuration. I want to use my variant when node type is 'Article' and when nodes tag is called 'news'.

in 'Selection rules' I have: 'Node being viewed is type "Article"' but is not taxonomy term on this lists.

How can I do it ?
