I have a customized zen theme site for my dog toys. I am working on nice static pages for Custom 403 and 404 errors. Something like this: http://buster-ball.com/error403.html
I have chosen for Drupal as people recommended me using a flexible CMS over my own framework and I must say I like how I don't have to write my own software for quizzes and forums.
It seems however that Drupal is extremely slow, while this server has a minimal load and parse times for other well-featured sites are less than 0.03 seconds.
Using Drupal with page-loads of 3 seconds is simply not an option. Can people tell me how I can troubleshoot this, find out the reason and find out how to solve it?
What could explain my English Drupal topics being listed on the Dutch part of the site?

I have a site that runs various jQuery scripts. I have added the scripts to the .info file put Drupal 7 is not executing them. I know Drupal 7 runs with jQuery installed and I believe it is version 1.4. The script I am using runs with 1.4. Should I be adding something to the script?
