Drupal fails after reboot

I've installed a Drupal Site on Amazon EC2 cluster. It was OK until I'd moved the site to Amazon Virtual Private Cluster. It works properly at the first time but it fails after first reboot. I realized that index.php file was changed and install.php file was created after reboot. I think Drupal tries to make a new installation when it's not able to see the database. When I copied original index.php file it worked again until next reboot.

How could I solve this problem? Help please!

Language

I have changed my language settings and in the process, blocked myself from logging in.

In Drupal Server Administration > Languages > Configure, I changed the setting selection from "Path prefix with Language fallback" to "Domain name only"

I then went to my language selection e.g. French and edited it, removing the path prefix "fr". In the Language domain field, I entered my domain name e.g. www.domainname.com/fr and saved.

Locate Base Install Directory

As notes in one of my earlier posts, I am taking over a drupal site at our organization due to staffing adjustments. I am trying to work on a site with 0 documentation, with a Server running Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS.

The site is requiring security updates, but I need to know the path in which Drupal was installed on this server.

timeout on node/add

Sorry if this is posted twice, I was interrupted then could not find my previous post ...
