Drupal 6.x

I'm planning a new site. I'm 75% certain I'd like to create my central content with CCK (although I could also do it with a custom module). The one thing that's not clear is how I could create a new forum topic (forums are new to me too) to be linked from the node.

Just wondering which of the Google Summer of Code 2007 projects have made it into Drupal 6. For instance i18n SoC efforts have gone into core?

I'm just trying drupal 6 on a test environment where I imported the Arabic language. That was successful and everything seemed to be working perfectly until I changed the default language of the site to Arabic, it changed everything to Arabic (which is fine) but in my list of available languages, I only see Arabic, English is not there in the list of available languages.

Can anyone provide any input on this ?

I am thinking on evaluating the technology and current working examples first.

Also i remember that there is a drupal implementation for OpenID.
I think it would be great if we can implement something like claimid which includes openid and microformat support.

I recently download the gmail app for mobile apps and was impressed with it's ergonomics...as opposed to logging into www.gmail.com using a mobile phone. It's about 129kb so it took a few seconds to download to my phone and once installed it is really handy.

I was just wondering (And apologies in advance if this is a stupid question) if it was possible to create a simple Drupal App like that for admins.

Here's my situation:

I created a site with Drupal on my personal web hosting account because my professor (the guy I'm doing this for) didn't have access to his at the time I did it. He wants me to move it now (he gave me all the FTP and control panel info).

I didn't think moving would be an issue (do a mysql backup and restore), move all my drupal files, and edit settings.php. I'm getting a serious number of errors. Could someone possibly take a look and maybe give me some insight as to what I did wrong?
