I'd like to have some pages only for my family members and friends. But I'd like to show some pages for public. Can I make login system so that only those who I give permissions can access certain pages?
I'm thinking of integrating some similar system as used in drupal color picker for my website (I use Joomla...please don't hate me!).
How is that done? Is there a similar script I can find anywhere to help me acheive that?
I need it for customers to choose border color, header color ect for the layout, that way they can could see what the site will look like before I start building, that way there can't be any "changing their mind" 10 times!
Hi! I just downloaded Drupal 6.x, and I am trying to install it locally. I have apache 2, php 5.2, and MySQL 5 (with phpMyAdmin). When I try to install Drupal I can get to the Setup database step and then I get an error:
The Drupal installer requires write permissions to ./sites/default during the installation process.
I am logged in a root currently. (Running Debian) How do I fix this?
I have windows XP and I installed WAMP5, so I have appache, PHP 5 and MySQL is running. I typed http://localhost/drupal-5.2/install.php and reached database configuration.
I fill up the form, database name and user name:root and password for database. Then I got the following notice/warning. Then I typed the same URL address then I got "Drupal installation complete".
Hi,
I'm looking for a CMS which has a module or option for users to create their own websites after they register, and which is also able to add a sub-domain for the particular user, i.e. newuser.domain.com.
