Drupal 6.x

I need to add personal info (names, address, telephone numbers etc) to the User table. The informstion should be supplied by the user at the time he/she signs up.

I have tried searching this forum on the term "add fields" but the threads I have looked at don't really address the task I am am working at, or refer to Admin area functionality that I cannot see in the Admin area.

Where do I do this task?

How do I check if a user is logged in or not using php

Looking for an If/Else statement so I can display one link if a user is logged in and another if they arent.

Please I want to be able to specify a static full page as Frontpage with the ability to connect back to drupal layout.
For instance I want a full screen flash pop-up page as the frontpage then with the links to a full Drupal layout for the rest of the website.

I will really appreaciate it if anyone can help out.

The site I'm creating needs:
Most important- a custom template. Can I have a completely custom design, or can I only change elements in existing templates?

If I can use a template of my own design, does drupal have the ability to have different layouts for different pages? For example, large body block on home page, three columns on another, 2 or 3 separate text blocks (each separately editable) with a small calendar block on each that links to a page with all calendar contents.

Users created by admin only, individual profiles editable by both user and admin.

Pages of links to content that can be entered into categories, and sorted automatically when new content is added, i.e.: new link added, then admin clicks "sort by alpha" or "sort by date" etc, which will cause the list to show that way on the public pages.

Also, when admin adds new user, the list can be sorted by alpha, or in the case of the incentive programs, sort my highest to lowest.

I'm looking for the upper-crust of drupal developers to help us complete the development of a social community website. The design and architecture of the site is complete. We need somebody to make it a reality. We started development with a previous firm, but they don't seem to be cutting it. Please contact me only if you are in the Los Angeles or surrounding area.
