Drupal 6.x

Hi - before I get building my Drupal site, it is very important that my site will be able to work with a affiliate merchant account such as Affiliate Window.

Can Drupal sites work with Affiliate Window? Are there any other UK affiliate merchant programs that Drupal is compatible with?

Whenever i run http://www.audiokiwi.com/admin/reports/status/run-cron or http://www.audiokiwi.com/admin/reports/updates, I get the following error:
Fatal error: Only variables can be passed by reference in *PATH HIDDEN*/modules/update/update.compare.inc on line 26
What do I do to fix this?

This is my first post. I just wanted to say hello ;)

I've migrated from Joomla (used it over 2 years) and I'm finally happy with Drupal. Thank you very much for this CMS; I'm curious what the community is like ;)

I have been away from drupal recently, but I have several projects that i have started, and not completed. I am not really a programmer by trade, and I realize that a lot of functionality could be improved. Most of these sites were built on 4.7 and some 5.0.

needless to say, im just trying to figure out what to do with these sites. i have so many of them, and feel that a lot of effort could be potentially wasted.

is there any way to partner up with other developers that share a common goal or interest, such as in the development of sites or ideas?

I tried to upgrage from 6b4 to 6rc1
the update.php gave me the following message:

"An HTTP error 406 occurred. http://yossin.com/testd/update.php?id=2&op=do"
(the "id=2" is because I have run update.php twice)

after that, the status report tells me "Some modules have database schema updates to install. You should run the database update script immediately"

I just installed Drupal today, literally 2 hours ago. After playing around with making a template, all is going well. Only question is, is it possible to override certain elements such as $left?

I tried poking through the documentation but it is all a bit overwhelming right now.

Right now, on my $left column I have the user login information. I don't quite like the way this is layed out. I was thinking of moving the text around, and having "Register new account" moved around.
