As far as I get it right, in Drupal 5 and 6, all modules are in the same directory (core and contrib), as well as the themes. It's very anoying to reinstall everything, even if you only want to do a minor update with bugfixes.
If I want to leave the contributed files on the server, I have to check the whole /themes and /modules directory for which module and which theme belongs to the core.
Does anyone know if there are plans to facilitate private forums in Drupal 6.0? I can't seem to find any info as to the porting of certain modules that may make this possible with the default forums...
Thoughts?
I'm trying to decided if I should hold out for modules to be ported or simply go with the PHPBB bridge that is available.
I want to start a flash game site. Is it possible to use Drupal for this purpose. I will add the swf files manually on a one by one basis.
I don't know how to tweak Drupal. Is it possible to use Drupal for flash game site just like posting a text. May be using some kind of module / plugin.
I must be able to add new flash games with ease. Please suggest if Drupal would be apt for this.
Never used Drupal before but it looks very promising, just wondering if it will do the following for me:
1. Allow certain users certain access to pages or files (PDF's, mp3's etc...). I understand I can create a group for these and then the user can be assigned to them, can this be automated? Can it be setup so user1 can see page "a" and user 2 can only see page "b"?
