Drupal 6.x

We are having issues with some of the modules when working along core modules.

1- search would not work when FCKEditor is activated
1a- when performing search the page goes blank
1b- several database errors show up when cron runs in the admin section
1c- teaser split doesn't work
1d- text body field doesn't show up when fckeditor is activated

the only difference between FCK and Nicedit is that the search results works with nicedit but more problem come up with working the text body field.

I've updating from Drupal 5.X to 6 and i have some problems.

By example, with another theme that Garland, when i go to this page :
/user/1/edit i have this error :
"Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@email.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

In Drupal6, in /admin/build/block, when i save the page, i have this error :
"Validation error, please try again. If this error persists, please
contact the site administrator."

In fact i have this error on several D6 themes but not Garland.
So i don't know if it's a error theme or other thing.

Do you have an idea ?

I want to move a static html site to drupal and I'm just trying to work out how to do it.

My site has many mini sites within it eg

domain.com/ordinary pages.html
domain.com/ordinary directories/ordinary pages.html
domain.com/mini site1/homepage.html
domain.com/mini site1/page2.html
domain.com/mini site1/page3.html
domain.com/mini site2/homepage.html
domain.com/mini site3/page2.html

Each minisite will have between 4 and 12 pages.

I've recently been given a Drupal site to look after and thanks to having almost nothing to do with Drupal before, even tasks that sound like they should be easy are giving me headaches because I don't know my way around well enough yet.

The problem that I'm having now is that the customer wants the 'Wecome email' customised so that it displays the users first name instead of the username throughout the body of the email. I can change the template, but there isn't any available variables for the users name, so I can't get it to show up.

I'm using barlow theme but have upgraded to 6.0 (no 6.0 version of barlow exists). I need a theme very much like barlow in form and function: fixed width, blue, primary links horizontally across top, menu on left.

Any ideas?
