Drupal 6.x

Hi,

I have a couple of questions regarding images uploaded using the image module in Drupal 6.1, Garland theme:

1) I am migrating a three-languages site, and usually I can enter content in a suitable language using the new multilanguage-capabilities in Drupal. Anyway, as I have to give the image title when uploading the file, the title is hard-linked to the file. As it is the title that is displayed when the mouse is over the image, this is the only way to add a description, which should be translated according to the page, not the file. As far as I understood, this is not possible with current Drupal, right? So I have to upload the same file three times, one per language, to be able to enter a title in the language according to the page that will link to them image node.

2) I am quit happy making the image module display the preview embedded in book pages, having a click open the original in a new window. This allows some kind of brochure layout, where you do not want to bother with thumbnails and the original would not fit into the layout. Now, on pages which contain little text, the images overlap the seperator line between the book page's content and the navigation below the content (linking to previous/next pages). Where should non-core theme folder go to? all/sites don't work.

I followed a tutorial on how to create a new theme and this is what I did...

I copies files from bluemarine theme folder to my newly created folder 'mytheme' in the following directory:
../sites/all/themes/mytheme/

now, I have two problems:

a) the new theme doesn't show up in the list of themes available

b) I got my theme working locally on my computer (using xampp)...
however, the login block doesn't display... even though I have 'enabled' it in the left bar (under Block configuration)

I am new to drupal. I got this example and want to try but am not able to see any out put.

hi. just wondering if there is any kind of repository on drupal.org for css only theme changes - so by this, i mean that there are a lot of people using zen or framework type themes and restyling using only the css - just wondering if any of these are floating around on drupal.org - i have not been able to find any...

I can not find this issue on the forum so maybe someone helps me.

How to add content to sidebar ($left)?. I have main page with two regions (content, left).
Filling in $content is very simple - just creating new PAGE but what about $left?.
Can I create a BLOCK, put it to $left and establish its content with another PAGE or STORY content?
or is any easy way to do that?
