I have a couple of questions regarding images uploaded using the image module in Drupal 6.1, Garland theme:
1) I am migrating a three-languages site, and usually I can enter content in a suitable language using the new multilanguage-capabilities in Drupal. Anyway, as I have to give the image title when uploading the file, the title is hard-linked to the file. As it is the title that is displayed when the mouse is over the image, this is the only way to add a description, which should be translated according to the page, not the file. As far as I understood, this is not possible with current Drupal, right? So I have to upload the same file three times, one per language, to be able to enter a title in the language according to the page that will link to them image node.
2) I am quit happy making the image module display the preview embedded in book pages, having a click open the original in a new window. This allows some kind of brochure layout, where you do not want to bother with thumbnails and the original would not fit into the layout. Now, on pages which contain little text, the images overlap the seperator line between the book page's content and the navigation below the content (linking to previous/next pages).
