Installing Drupal

Hello,

I'm playing with Drupal cvs, and I'm finding the forum to be quite slow: it seems that there is a constant overhead, independant of the the size of the thread. There is always a noticeable delay when navigating in the forum topics. Is there some configuration options that would allow to speed up things (may be with caching, even if it compromizes the coherency of the topic list?)

Hi, i have installed rc1 as per the instructions, and cannot log into the site after creating the admin user. If i try to log in, nothing happens ie i get dumped back at the basic index.php with the login stuff to the right.

I have checked to see if the php settings are correct and they are according to phpinfo();.

I am using php 4.2.3 with latest apache1.

I have jsut downloaded latest drupal stable and am getting the same results.

Help?

I found drupal and it seems wonderful
I wonder if this marvellous cript wil work with php safe mode, since my host has safe mode on

I am starting now a full translation to spanish of content. If someone already did it... Do not shut it up

If not... I will be posting the locale DB content here in some days

Just tried to import database.mysql (stable 4.0)m but it failed cause the reserved word "types" is used for some columns.

Is there a fix available for it?

I know that Drupal has support for multi-lingual sites; and I have seen sites transalted to several languages. However, all those translations seem to be site-made; i.e, I have not found any file which I can download and add support for a new languaje to my site.

Does that mean that every foreign site is currently doing their own translation of Drupal (and not sharing it)? IMHO, this does not seem very optimized. Is there anybody interested in sharing those translations? I think they should even be included in the official distribution.
