Installing Drupal

Running drupal within another frame on my webpage, and i get a problem with authentication.

If i enter the username & pw that page is just reloaded and it seems like nothing have happened.
If i enter a non existing username and pw just to test if it checks the userid at all, it give me an error msg who says that ive might have spelled the username or pw wrong.
But....
If i enter the page where i got drupal so it's not within any frames, everything works ok. I can enter my userid and pw, and add some blogs or do whatever i want.

is there any possibility to put these menus generated with menus.module to the top-bar of the page? What I basically want, is a 'drop-down' at the top of the page. I could just create it on my own, how can I access the menu-data; is it held in an array or something like that?

i hope someone is able to help me with a rather nasty situation.

my uid 1 (bertboerland, me!) cant login my site anymore. what happend was: i was behind someone else browser and logged in with my userid to show something.
so when is went back to my own browser, i was logged out. my browser (mozilla) asked me for the master password to manage all the weblogins. i couldnt login however with my uid and password. maybe the person changed the password i thought. so i asked for a password reset and got a mail at my account with my new password. however, when i logged in with my userid and my new password, i get the error "The name 'bertboerland' has been denied access.".

i reseted the password agian, got a new amil, tried the the new passowrd, still no luck! this is a rather bad situation, i *cant* login to my own site anymore. i created another accaount, logged in with this new userid/password combination. no problem. tried a password reset with this userid, got mail and was able to log in again with the new uid/passwd combination.

so:
* user can be added
* users can change password via webform
* users can reset password via mail and login
* just not the uid 1 :-(

i hope someone is able and willing to help me here, otherwise i have to do a database backup and thats the last thing i want to do.

my questions are:

Hi, I would like to upgrade my event module to the new 4.3 compatible version but I am not sure how I go about it, and I would rather not lose my current events. The new event.mysql file seems to have more fields than the old one which it creates and then immediately drops. This confuses me as I dont know if they are important.

The following error seems to show up upon first activation of the locale module, it seems to dissapear immidiately after - however, with the installation of a few extra modules (I belive that what triggered it was menus.module) the error becomes presistant across administration pages.

Drupal-cvs of 02/11/2003, cvs versions of modules mentioned.

How come?

I just installed v4.3.0 and love it! This is coming from someone who's spent several months analyzing CMS packages on opensourceCMS.

My problem is that when I enable clean URLs, I can't get to the admin page. "www.mysite.com/admin" redirects to an Ensim site administrator that my hosting provider had installed. (I cannot remove it.) Is there any way to change the clean URL for the admin page for Drupal?
