image.module again

I've been all over the forums, and it appears that the image.module has had a storied past. I've got a somewhat fresh 4.2 install, and the image.module code for 4.2, and can't seem to get it to work. I've used the 4.0 version without any major difficulties (on a few 4.0 sites), but this 4.2 version is inscrutable.

event module and php < 4.2

The event module (4.3 on Drupal 4.3) makes use of a PHP 4.2 function: array_fill()

If (like me) you're hosting provider has an older PHP version you can define the function in PHP see the first comment on the official PHP site

I think it should be part of the checklist for modules to have the same requirements as Drupal itself.

Error when posting php content

Hello,

I get the following error when viewing the posted PHP content on my site.

Parse error: parse error, unexpected '<' in /home/virtual/site585/fst/var/www/html/modules/page.module(113) : eval()'d code on line 1

Any solution?

Thanks a lot!

Avatars Not Uploading

Hi - am using Drupal 4.3 and the profile module with support from avatars. I should mention that I copied over the avatar directory (/misc/avatars) from the 4.2 installation. All the users still have their avatars.

Only problem now is that no one can upload any new or changed avatars. It's enabled. /misc/avatars is drwxrwxrwx. There's no error message. The avatars are simply not being uploaded or updated.

Don't tell me that I'll need to erase all avatars (or even worse, the entire profile.mysql table)? How do I diagnose this problem?

Can't Log-In, How To Troubleshoot?

I recently upgraded to 4.3.0 and it was not without issue. Now the content is displayed correctly and the Archives work, but both the Search and Log-In are broken! When I click on "Log in", the q=user page is simply reloaded. This happens will all accounts, whether the username or password is correct or not. I've tried from multiple browsers on multiple machines .

No Second Letter

Using the "Administrator Approval" account creation model, the prospective member is getting a message saying that their request has been submitted for approval, but not another saying they are free to log on, once the approval goes through. Are they supposed to, or is that email only for people approved without review?
