Comment and forum word length limit

I've searched for a solution here, as I'm sure I'm not the first person to notice this, but came up empty. In comments and the forum, I want to limit the length a word can be so a user will not be able to post a hundred letter word and push the side bar off the screen.

If you reply with a long sentence with no spaces and preview, you'll see what I mean.

Thanks!

Admin block vanished

Good afternoon,

I seem to have managed to make my admin block vanish, which makes administering the site difficult. I am logged in and drupal still allows me to administer nodes. Attempts to get to various administration features through what I remember of the URLs results in:

warning: call_user_func_array(): First argumented is expected to be a valid callback, 'admin_admin' was given in /www/www.1srg.org/docroot/drupal/includes/menu.inc on line 108.

Anonymous comments disappear

Hi all, I wuz wondering this:

When a user on my website (still developing) leaves a comment anonymously, why does the comment not show up for moderation anywhere? After you type and submit the comment, the website says it's been accepted and will be posted pending moderation. The problem is, I can't find where this comment is! It doesn't appear anywhere or in any way to suggest it needs approval. It's like it disappeared altogether.

Any ideas?

4.3.0 -> 4.3.1 upgrade - "unknown column 'timestamp'

I just updated from 4.3.0 to 4.3.1 after moving my conf.php out of the way. Now, whenever I run cron.php I get:

user error: Unknown column 'timestamp' in 'where clause'
query: SELECT * FROM feed WHERE timestamp + refresh < 1071299818 in /www/www.1srg.org/docroot/drupal/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 90.

The site is pretty basic, but I've added the latest version of import and article.

Any thoughts on how to fix this would be quite welcome.

How can I create forms with images & field entries

(I have Drupal 4.3.1 successfully installed and it is functioning fine without any problems. )

I'd like to create a site that allows users to add comments to a category (Drupalspeak: nodes to a vocabulary term?) with fields and images. For example, a bug entry that allows users to upload a screenshot, enter in related bug number in a free text field, select a version from a drop-down, and enter a URL into a designated place. (with the URL in a specific field, not just free-floating in the text).

How to flag a post as new?

I can't work out how to flag a post or a comment as new. If anyone could please tell me, I'd appreciate it.

Running 4.2 and don't have root to the server.

thanks
