Installing Drupal

Hi.
After installation and configuring drupal i got the main page.
All ok.

when i press "create the first account" i got

Fatal error: DB Error: already exists query: INSERT INTO sessions (uid, sid, hostname, timestamp) values(0, 'cb2bb627a10c717ed127a8a61d042b39', '192.168.1.44', 1084525446) in /www/htdocs/drupal-4.4.1/includes/database.pear.inc on line 89

where is my error?

samacho, asplinux 7.3 , postgres 7.3.2, apache 1.3.27

of a fully patched version of drupal 4.4.0 or 4.4.1 that includes
the installer.

I would love to give drupal a try but I dont have ssh on my host
and I am not familiar enough with phpmyadmin to get drupal working.

I think there are many others who like drupal but give up as they dont have the geek skills to make it work.

I manage to get to the index page for localhost/drupal. But when I click on any link like create the first account . I get redirected to localhost everytime.I tried all the links on the index page & it lands me to localhost...
What could be the problem ?

I have just installed and configured projects.module, but I have some litle problems/questions. I have created a projects as drupal user that should be an aplication, but i can't submit releases anyway, I can't do it as drupal user, cause option does not apear, and can't do as admin user cause after submit the release does not apear on database. However i don't see how to submit the aplication (tar.gz file for example) on release.

XML tag is not working on one of the system while it works on the other system with same OS(suse 8.0 enterprise edition). I am not able to find out the difference in the configuration. Can someone help in telling me what all is requiered for the rss feed to work.

rpm -qa | grep -i php gives

mod_php4-servlet-4.1.0-121 mod_php4-4.1.0-121
mod_php4-core-4.1.0-121

for the one where rss feed is not working

whereas it gives

mod_php4-core-4.2.2-124
mod_php4-4.2.2-124
mod_php4-servlet-4.2.2-124

for the other one.

if i go to mung.net/drupal I get this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_connect() in /usr/share/drupal/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 12

I am using debian.

my phpinfo can be seen at http://mung.net/~dude/index.php

I am using debian and have set up the database using the autoconfiguration so I am not sure what is going on. Thanks for the help
