Installing Drupal

I've downloaded the latest release but every time I try to extract it I get "Error reading header after processing 0 entries" I'm using windows and winzip. Should that work or is there a problem with the file?

I've recently installed the htmlarea module and it works for the most part. I'm now down to the fine tuning part and this is where I need some help.

i have configured the input format for all users on my site using Full html and I have enabled the following filtres: BBCode, Inline filter, Line Break Converter.

I got Drupal installed on our 2nd computer (Mandrake 10.1 & XAMPP), but when I try to create the Administrator Account, Drupal wants an email address to send me a password. This computer is not set up for internet connection. How do I create an administrator account without email?

Right the installation file for a drupal newbie like myself does not help me that much. What I need is an installation guide for installing on a hosted account. I can create databases on my control panel through my website but get confused after this. ie when it says create a table I get lost. I can see myPHPadmin but this does not seem to like the text it asks to enter in the inst text file

$ mysql -u nobody -p drupal < database/database.mysql

ie where should this go.

I am having trouble getting things working on initial install. I am getting this error message when I go to the home page:
