Installing Drupal

Drupal 4.5.5
Any attempt to use the configure tab in admin/themes or click configure on any individual theme locks browser (IE 6). No related entries in log.

Any help appreciated!

I got problem with the installation of Tinymce module, quite serious problem.
I download TinyMCE WYSIWYG Editor http://drupal.org/project/tinymce, and read install.txt file.
According to the instruction, I download the installation files from http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/tinymce/tinymce_1_44.zip.

I've had drupal installed on my server for a few weeks now & everything has been working wonderfully - until now. I turned on the forums & I am not getting a dropdown box when I post to a forum. The posts do not show in the forum list & I am unable to view the posts. When I view the posts under contents, it shows them published. Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas?

This is a theme problem..... but could be a possible probblem for content too.

Ive got problems with any pictures/logos etc (stuff that is referenced like http://www.mysite.org/themes/bluemarine/style.css) with my install. They will not display, the files are there but when I try and access them directly all i see is an error about permissions. hence why they have not been found by the page load.

Trying to increase the file permissions will not work! i.e. will not make a difference.

I have searched and can't find a solution. I have PHP, Apache and MySQL setup. I followed the Mac Zealot instructions. I changed my httpd.conf to allow .htaccess.

If I load the drupal page on the local machine it works fine, but if I try and load it from another machine I don't see any images. What need to be changed?

Please understand that I am very new to linux and Drupal. I have a few question I would like to ask if I may. I have installed Drupal on Gentoo Linux Computer runnig Apache2 with great support from a good linux friend. Can't catch him all the time ;(

1. When I goto the setting area under Administration there is a red comment that says " The built-in GD image toolkit requires that the GD module for PHP be installed and configured properly. For more information see http://php.net/image

What does this mean? Is this an extra function I require to have Drupal running? Can the site run without this installed.

2. When I browes o my Gentoo Server http://localhost/drupal from another computer (Wife's Windows XP) I can see the site but the theme does not get displayed. Just Text and links. Also I cannot access any modules like currency converter or recent post or anyother link. It just says page cannot be found. However I can access the page very nicely from within the Gentoo Computer.

3. when I sit at the GEntoo computer and select the curency converter it try and convert an error comes up saying
