Installing Drupal

I've gone through the instructions for instalation and i got to the point where i have to create the 1st user. I click create user and i get the following message:

Fatal error: Duplicate entry '3e339cd50e0b9b3fccf80daf60dc9b9c' for key 1 query: INSERT INTO sessions (sid, uid, hostname, timestamp) VALUES ('3e339cd50e0b9b3fccf80daf60dc9b9cc1eb0fec', 0, '172.213.171.185', 1126976545) in /includes/database.mysql.inc on line 43

In another post, it suggests adding the following to lines:

when i login and select Administration i see myself (admin user) authorized for everything except this (it's also the only thing i see in the list that appears that doesn't have my name on it --in this case 'Guest':

access denied 09/17/2005 - 01:31 admin/themes/settings denied access. Guest view details

am i missing something? should it show my name and say Authorized? here is some other lines:

hello! i think i'm going to like it here... the format even looks friendly! ;)

1) i tried to turn on "clean urls" and it reports that mod_rewrite must not be on. it IS on. what else do i need? (there is no .htaccess file --if i need one for mod_rewrite to work, what goes in it?)

2) i have imagemagick installed and working (required for Gallery) --how do i tell my installation to use that instead of GD?

Soo I unpacked drupal and then moved it to /var/www/htdocs/

Then i made a mysql database for drupal and database user,

the install tutorial i was using said to parse for the file database.mysql

and it was there.The next step told me to edit the conf.php file located in the

includes directory but it wasn't in there ?

Does anyone have any idea where it might be or if i can generate my own?

Hey Everyone,

My forum seems to have dissapeared after what appears to be something related to the PATHAUTO module

Whenenver I try to re-init the forum module and I try to click on forum admin, I get a blank page.

I don't even get the content added to the types. Any idea how to start off new with forum module?

Any idea how I can fix this?
