Installing Drupal

I have trouble installing the zipcodes table from the Locations module.

I found some clues that zipcodes.mysql has issues.

Have they been fixed by now?
Which zipcodes.mysql file should I run on my database?

The 3.73 Mb zipcodes.us.mysql file just keeps timing out (or nothing happens). Is that because PhpMyAdmin can't handle it or is the file itself the problem?

I have a question. If I am running my website on another port (8080) do I have to do anything special in the drupal configuration to make it work properly?

i modified the database privilages and permissions and renamed the database in database.mysql.inc,
and i was able to create the first user but when i pressed on the request password tab i got this message stated below; to be aknowladged that this message below was at at the top of the page when i loaded the drupal page after i changed the database name and privilages.
can anyone help me in this please;

i get the following errors when attempting to create acidfree content:

I installed the Event Module. I see the calendar, but no links to add an event or change settings of the Event module anywhere.

The solutions from this seven months old thread only add to my confusion:

How do I add an event to the calendar?

Which Event module should I use?

I got Drupal all installed and working problerly. I started adding some Modules when problems started occurring.
