Installing Drupal

I keep getting this warning:

warning: ini_set(): A session is active. You cannot change the session module's ini settings at this time. in /usr/local/lib/php/set_session_handler_files.php on line 2.

appended after on every page of my site http://www.anvandbart.se, and nothing I do seams to have any effect.

I have installed drupal on a shared hosting site where some functions are disabled like open base dir etc..
I am getting following errors when I logged in to as admin.
User balasatya
Location /?q=admin/settings
Message opendir(includes): failed to open dir: Permission denied in /home/vhost/balasatya/http_docs/includes/file.inc on line 524.
Severity error
When I try to install modules I got this error

I have HTML forms on my site (not within Drupal) which pass data on to PHP scripts to process.
With CleanURLs turned on, they no longer operate.

Is there anything I can do to correct this?

(As a side note, I tried disabling CleanURLs from within "settings" and it didn't work. I had to rename ".htaccess" to turn CleanURLs off.)

I've installed and been playing around with the acidfree module, but I'm having difficulty uploading photos.

I HAVE

installed and patched filemanager module
enabled all appropriate permissions, includng UPLOAD module
used DEFAULT settings provided

I CAN

administer both filemanager and acidfree
create albums

I CAN'T

upload actual pictures...

OK, I'm not a newby and I do have my own Website up and operational using XOOPS (www.steveatwal.com), but I've been impressed with Drupal and am thinking of converting to it instead.

I have a bunch of questions related to EventFinder and Location.

How do I apply the patch for EventFinder?
Eventfinder requires location_node in database?
Locations module - zipcodes.mysql problems?
