Experimental project

This is a sandbox project, which contains experimental code for developer use only.

The Drupal SEO Pack module gives you very flexible control over some of the most common but most important SEO aspects of your Drupal website. The goal is better rankings in search engines through the use of best SEO practices.

Drupal SEO Pack Module Features:

  • Granular Page Title Control - Create endless and better SEO-friendly page titles for your taxonomy and all content types, i.e. blog, forum, book, page, and any other added content types.
  • Better Pagination Title Tags - Create more unique pagination pages, such as "Page - 2" "Page - 3" etc. instead of every search, category, or archives pagination page having the exact same title tag.
  • More Duplicate Content Control - The SEO Pack modules gives you the ability to add the following META rules to your Drupal website: noindex, follow / noindex / noindex, nofollow, etc. for any content type and your taxonomy pages.
  • Add other Nofollow Rules - This modules allows you to add several other META rules such as: meta name="robots" content="noodp" & "meta name="robots" content="noarchive" if you do not want your content indexed by the Open Directory Project or search engine cache or Internet archives.
  • SEOmoz.org API LinkScape Tools Built In! - One of the coolest things built into the SEO Pack module is the ability to view and download backlink data for your website using the SEOmoz.org API. Just sign up through the module for a free SEOmoz account, enter your Access ID and Secret Key, then run your LinkScape reports to get valuable SEO backlink data for your website. Use the one-click download option to save the SEOmoz LinkScape data right from the module!
  • Import/Export Function - Backup your Drupal SEO Pack settings with the handy export feature. Saves to a simple XML file in case you need a backup (always a good idea!). Import it again if needed.

Powerful SEOmoz API Data Examples

Here are a few of the benefits of the built in SEOmoz LinkScape API:

  1. URL Metrics API - A call to the URL Metrics API returns useful information about the requested URL, including Page Authority, Domain Authority, mozRank, mozTrust, subdomain mozRank, subdomain mozTrust, the number of external linking pages, the number of external linking subdomains, and many other metrics.
  2. Links API - You can pull as much or as little link information as you want. You can get all your links, or only a subset, such as 301s or nofollowed. You can also customize how you want your links sorted - by Domain Authority, Page Authority, linking root domains and more!
  3. Anchor Text API - A call to the anchor text API returns the top anchor text to a page, subdomain, or domain. You can search by phrases or by terms.

Module Dependencies

  • Token module - This module is needed in order to generate the required tokens to create and manage the page titles from this module.
  • Pathauto - In order to get unique tokens to use in the Page Titles portion of the SEO Pack module, the Pathauto module will need to be enabled and configured.

Known Module Conflicts

You can't use the Drupal SEO Pack module and the Page Title module together since they both utilize the same method for handling the page titles via tokens.

Things We're Working On

We do not currently support all child taxonomy terms for unique title tags across all taxonomy terms or have the "show field" option added to individual node pages (such as creating a unique title tag per node upon creation). We are working on adding these features within the next month. Sit tight!

We are also working on other improvements to this module and will be setting up a feedback widget on the SocialSEO.com SEO Pack module page. Once we can get enough feedback we will aggregate the most popular ideas into the module.
