It's strange that I get the following error randomly while saving field configuration of webform. And due to that error, the field settings is not saved.

Error: cannot call methods on dialog prior to initialization; attempted to call method 'close'

Attached the screenshot as well.

Are you able to replicate this issue using https://simplytest.me?

Can you isolate steps needed to reproduce this issue?

Have you downloaded the webform libraries?

@jrockowitz

Yes, I've downloaded the "webform libraries".

Let me list out steps to produce this:

- Create a new webform.

- Add a new element of any type, for example, add a simple "Text Area" element. That should open a popup in the right sidebar to configure the "Element settings".

- Configure the element by adding "Title" and other stuff as needed and try to save it by clicking on the "Save" button at the bottom of the popup.

- When I click on "Save", it produces the following error and the pop up is not closed.

Error: cannot call methods on dialog prior to initialization; attempted to call method 'close'

Hope that helps.

Please ignore this, it seems that there's a custom module that alters webform forms and add a custom JS causing issues. I'll investigate more on this and try to post what exactly was causing the issues.

Ok, it was webform alter causing the issues. We can close this. Sorry for the hassle.
