I want to have the following file structure
*
---- general
|
---- folder A
|
---- folder B
The folder "general" should be accessible by all users who have access to webfm
The "folder A" should be accessible to users who have role A
The "folder B" should be accessible to users who have role B
So, if a user has no specific role, it should only see "general"
If a user has the role A, it should see "general" and "folder A"
If a user has the role B, it should see "general" and "folder B"
If a user has role A and B, it should see "general", "folder A" and "folder B"
Any idea's?

cgmonroe commentedWebfm uses Drupal's standard role / permission security.
So, you are in a role and it has a role folder assigned, you have rights to it equal to the combination of all your permissions across all roles. So, try:
General = make this associated with anonymous/authenticated roles (might not want anonymous).
Folder A = make this the top directory for Role A
Folder B = make this the top directory for Role B
Grant WebFM permissions as needed to the roles. Put people in roles as needed.
Note: one thing that Drupal standard permissions don't allow for is having someone have download access to one folder and upload access to another. AFAIK, there is no core function to say: is this person granted this permission from this role. It's just does this user have this permission based across all roles they belong to.

Jochus commentedcgmonroe,
Thanks, the trick was to set the folder "General" for the "authenticated role" :-) !
The note you provided doesn't mind, because my users are not allowed to upload
Thank you so much for your support!
