If you have Views that use url arguments, then you will run into issues when using this module to edit the view from the Edit tab. The issue is that once you save the changes on the Edit tab it will attempt to return you to the root tab ("View"). However, the way it determines this url ends up including "%" url argument characters instead of the actual arguments.

Example steps to reproduce:

  1. Setup a Node view with a Page display at path "awesome/%" with 1 argument of node type
  2. Enable Views UI Basic for this new view at "admin/build/views/views_ui_basic"
  3. Go to "awesome/page"
  4. Click the "Edit" tab
  5. Click "Save"
  6. Notice that you are now at "awesome/%25" when you should be at "awesome/page"

I have attached a patch that fixed the issue for me. I have tested the patch for Views without url arguments as well, and it seems to work well for those cases too.

The 6.x version is not supported anymore. The issue is closed for this reason.
Please upgrade to a supported version and feel free to reopen the issue on the new version if applicable.

OK, but I don't know why I would do that since you didn't even bother reviewing this patch in the last 9 months since it was submitted.

I closed the issues for 6.x version using a standard template (mentioned in Templates for issue status transitions).

I just took over maintenance of the module last week, and I'm only working on Drupal 7.x, that's why I closed the issue. I apologize if it seems insensitive.

No worries.
