jcarousel 0.3 has no backward compatible with 0.2.9
maybe there will be an update?

until then I just use 0.29 ... no problem ;)

maybe you can update the projectpage to inform the users to use 0.29...

I've looked at the changes in 0.3. They are quite extreme. I think it's wise to wait until 0.3 is out of beta and then decide if it's practical to support both versions.

It looks like jCarousel 0.3 is out of beta and should be supported here now. This might be contributing to some of the issue queue problems claiming it wont install, and won't work, since people are downloading the 0.3.1 version and it isn't being detected. The on-screen documentation also doesn't mention that the 0.2.x version is the one people should be trying to get.

I'm starting the porting process of my copy over to 0.3.X today. I'll submit a patch with where I get to. If anyone else has some legwork already completed, lets get the discussion going here!

I've updated the project page to note that 0.2.9 support is the currently supported release, and we have made headway on a 7.x-2.x line that supports the 0.3 line. I'm gonna close this issue down. Thanks for bringing it up!
