Here is the patch. Tested and works on my machine. Could really use people testing this out. Here is a documentation page on how to add an additional pager. http://drupal.org/node/903250

This one moves link pager to node into the numbered and thumbnails plugins since it doesn't make sense to use it for fields and some other pagers.

Last feature added to this patch. Now a pager can alter the settings before it's passed to jquery cycle.
