How do put an static image on top of a slideshow?

Hi guys,

This is probably an easy one for many of you, however, it has been driven me nuts for hours now. I have created a views slideshow, which has turned out beautifully. All i need is to put the icing on the cake.

I really want to put an image on top of my views slideshow, but how do i do that? I have attached a picture of what I would like to achieve.

I'm a bit of noob - so bare with me :-)
