Hi

1. I passed in an URL saved the page => thumbnail was automatically generated.
2. I then edit the page again and just hit save without changing anything => the thumbnail got deleted.
3. I then again edit the page and just hit save without changing anything again => the thumbnail gets generated again.

Follow above steps to reproduce.

This was happening to me too, but now the thumbnails go away and don't come back at all. Some randomly go away. It especially seems to happen with Vimeo video links.

Unsubscribe. The problem was resolved with the patches here: https://drupal.org/node/1996924

I was having the issue with Vimeo private vids.
