Varbase AI VDB: Milvus

Connects the site to a Milvus vector database for AI Search. Milvus can run locally inside the same DDEV project, or remotely on Zilliz Cloud or a server of your own; the recipe is the same for all three, and only the server, port and token change.

The recipe installs Key, AI, AI Search and the Milvus VDB provider, creates a milvus_api_key Key that reads MILVUS_API_KEY, and points the provider at the server and port from its inputs (MILVUS_SERVER and MILVUS_PORT from the environment, otherwise http://milvus:19530). It does not create a Search API server or index; that belongs to Varbase AI Search Base.

It needs a Milvus 2.6 server. The Milvus VDB provider has no stable release yet, so this stack is experimental. It is one of the interchangeable vector database recipes for Varbase AI Search Base, alongside Varbase AI VDB: MariaDB.

Best used with Varbase Starter site template.

Can be installed with any Drupal CMS ~2.0 or Drupal Core ~11 site. Even if installed with the Minimal or Standard profile.

However, using it with Varbase gives you way much more cool stuff!
