Payment is a generic payment processing platform for Drupal, which can be used in many applications. Integration with Drupal Commerce and Ubercart already exists.

I was wondering if you could make this module a plugin for Payment. This will make life easier for you, because:
- You will get instant integration with any other module that uses Payment, such as Payment for Drupal Commerce, Payment for Webform, and Payment for Ubercart.
- Payment takes care of 90% of the integration with modules such as Views, Features, and Token.
- Payment offers fields to create payment forms and to make users pay to create content.

Thanks for asking, I've wondered about a similar approach (as I maintain a similar module for Commerce).

I'll definitely look into Payment next time I get the chance, but for now this isn't something on the roadmap. Patches welcome, of course :)
