Drupal 8 Views Tab not working with TVI

The TVI module is working fine but there is one feature of D8 Views that's not working when TVI is used. On D8 you can setup TABS directly from the views by creating two pages.

As you may already be familiar with D8 Views tabs you will need to create a couple of pages in the same view with paths like this:

page/
page/tab

Set each views page menu tab to Default and Menu tab. And you should have one view that shows content and two tabs on top.

The problem here is that this does not work if you are at a taxonomy term page where TVI has taken over the view.

How can we make this work?
