Problem/Motivation

Currently users of thunder do not have an insight on how thunder will develop in the future, therefore we should release a roadmap of features we will implement in the future.
Additionally to beeing more transparent this provides the opportunity to give links to related issues and blockers, which in turn enables the community to take a more focused part in improving the features it would like to see next. Either by providing ideas and discossion or by directly providing code.

Remaining tasks

  • Decide where to publish roadmap (d.org, thunder.org or github)
  • collect roadmap items and corresponding issues

I think a roadmap, combined with a process to influence and/or contribute would be a great way for stakeholders and community members to help sustain and grow the project. The process from another Drupal distribution may provide some ideas. Joining the growing number of OSS projects hosted on Open Source Collective would provide additional opportunities for contributors and sustainers.

I like the idea outlined in the IS!
It would also be helpful to have release dates for minor updates of drupal core. I would guess that https://www.drupal.org/project/thunder/issues/2951064 will include the update but it would be helpful to clarify.
