Thunder Roadmap

Problem/Motivation

To provide users of Thunder with information on how Thunder will improve in the future, we decided to publish this roadmap.
Additionally, to be more transparent this provides the opportunity to give links to related issues and blockers, which in turn enables the community to take a more focused part in improving the features it would like to see next - either by sharing ideas and joining the discussion or by directly providing code.
Users are encouraged to discuss the roadmap and provide ideas on what we could focus next. All roadmap items have a dedicated issue on drupal.org which will be linked. All known remaining tasks that have to be done for the roadmap item will also be given.
If a development branch for the task exists, it will be linked as well.
The roadmap is ordered by priority, but there is no guarantee that features will be released in that order.

2. Prepare usage of core media

   Thunder will use the core media module in a new major version. Thunder 2 will stay on the contrib media entity and Thunder 3 will be core media.
   Both versions of Thunder will be fully supported
