Hi all,

I'm trying to create the D7 site with installed modules Comment Alter and Support Ticketing System. First module is used to alter node fields from comments. Second module adds Support Tiketing fields with statuses, priorities, and assigned user.
Recently I've faced the following issue. When I alter simulateniously node fields (using Comment Alter) and Support Tiketing fields Drupal changes node fields (using Comment Alter) but does not change Support Tiketing fields.

I've tried to play with modules weight and also tried stable and dev versions of Comment Alter but without any luck.

Could you please advise where might be a conflict between these modules and how to avoid it?

Thanks in advance.

Sergey

Could you please upload a _minimal_ feature to reproduce this issue of yours?

Thanks for your reply. Do you mean DB+files or just more detailed explanation?

A _minimal_ step-by-step howto describing the reproduction of your problem should be enough, if you don't know how to replicate the related part of your site via the Features module.

Sorry, I really don't know how to use Features module so I'll describe step-by-step what I'm doing (I've just built up the new test site in odred to check the error once again)
So, here are all my steps:
1. Install D7 of latest release - drupal-7.42
2. Install Support Ticketing System of latest stable release - 7.x-1.0-rc2
3. Install Date module (I'll change the Date field from the comment) - 7.x-2.9
4. Install Comment Alter module of latest stable release - 7.x-1.0-rc4
5. From Field Management I add field "due date" to Support Tiket content type
6. From Field Management I enable altering field "due date" from comments
7. I add test users (testuser1 and testuser2) and give them necessary permissions
8. I create new support ticket (test2) and fill up all necessary fields incuding "due date". Assign this ticket to user "testuser1". Click "Save" button.
9. I try to add new comment to ticket "test2". So I fill up comment field, change assigned user to "testuser2" and change "due date". Click "Save" button.
10. After that I can see that "due date" has changed but assigned user still "testuser1" (please see the screenshot in attachment)

Have no idea what is happening...

No ideas?

Okay, I've spent a good amount of my Saturday trying to understand how support.module works, but all I could do is reproducing your problem. As I don't know how support.module works, all I can suggest is giving IssueQ a try instead of trying to knock together a ticketing system from a bunch of independent modules. IssueQ handles all the information related to a "ticket" in fields and makes use of comment_alter.module to change them, so there is no problem arising from two independent systems trying to achieve the same goal in the same go.

In the meantime, I'm reassigning this to the support.module's queue.
