I'm very new to Drupal and am trying to look at it and Storm. I set up a local host environment with Acquia Drupal, down loaded both the Storm and dashboard modules, unzipped them into their own directories under /sites/all/modules but, when I log into to Drupal as the administrator and go to modules under Home>Administer>Site Building>Modules, neither Storm nor the Dashboard show up in the list to be enabled. I've looked in the Drupal documentation, my trusty Drupal book and searched the forums but have yet to find anything. I've also tried running update.php and stop/restart the stack. I'm sure it's some small thing I'm missing but can anyone offer a suggestion as to how to get these modules to show up on the list? I've got 6.x-1.33 of Storm and 6.x-1.0 for the dashboard.

juliangb commentedLet's think through this...
So you have the file sites/all/modules/storm/storm.module within that path?
Do all of the file permissions look the same as for the rest of Drupal?
Do you have any problems seeing other modules?
I'm pretty sure this is a problem with your set up rather than with Storm specifically.

Grim.miles commentedI found my error and you're right, it wasn't Storm, it was operator error. I was using the wrong sites/all/modules directory. I needed to find the one under the Acquia install. Once I moved the Storm module folders there, I was good to go.
Thanks for the assist!
