Hi together,

the jsGantt View module http://drupal.org/project/views_jsgantt is seeking a new maintainer.
Maybe this module can be included into storm, replacing the trial version of the gannt implementation.

Any thoughts?

I'd agree that supporting the Gantt chart via Views is better than calling the library directly ourselves, but there are some concerns over the maintenance of the upstream library.

Is this something that you're happy to work on?

It is just an idea, we have already a lot of work, but if somebody is interested in a gannt chart it should be provided.
I do not have the time to maintain that at the moment.

I'd rather like to build a burn down chart for agile development, or maybe a kanban chart.
The module is not maintained at the moment and it was an idea to add it to the storm family.

My aims at the moment are these:
- build stable releases of storm and the other storm modules
- fixing of the issues
- writing the documentation (i just started but it will took some time)
- finishing the storm theme (in development)
- creation of a pofile that handles the storm faminly, the settings and the new theme

If that is done i'm open for new features, charts like gannt, kanban or burndown are cool to visualize the tasks and tickets.
But i also want your opinions are the ideas of the community.

Clearing the issues queue a bit:

I'm all for moving to using the views plugin rather than hardcoding, but we shouldn't include this as part of the Storm / PM projects. Instead, let the module thrive on its own.

We'll cover any change to the functionality in #701286: Refactor Gantt chart system.
