I am trying to set up a view to show only the tasks assigned to the logged in user in a block.

However when I invoke the relationship between storm task assigned to storm person with drupal uid

I get the following error in views:

user warning: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'WHERE node.type in ('stormtask') LIMIT 0, 10' at line 10 query: SELECT DISTINCT node.nid AS nid, node.title AS node_title, stormtask.assigned_title AS stormtask_assigned_title, stormtask.project_title AS stormtask_project_title FROM node node LEFT JOIN stormtask stormtask ON node.vid = stormtask.vid INNER JOIN node node_stormtask ON stormtask.assigned_nid = node_stormtask.nid LEFT JOIN stormperson stormperson ON node.vid = stormperson.vid LEFT JOIN user user_stormperson ON stormperson.user_uid = user_stormperson. WHERE node.type in ('stormtask') LIMIT 0, 10 in /home/xxxx/public_html/sites/all/modules/views/includes/view.inc on line 771.

can you tell me the proper way to do this or if it is possible?

This is a bug, but duplicate of #1018448: Storm Person: Drupal User in Views.
