When i send a test message i get this...

A test e-mail has been sent to "my email address here". You may want to check the logs for any error messages.

Where are the logs located. I need to check them because the test email is not being received.

The logs the message is referring to are the normal Drupal watchdog logs, located at admin/reports/dblog (Administer -> Reports -> Recent log entries).
