Change your from e-mail address to not use a Gmail address, or change your SMTP to be Gmail.

I have found that the domain of the SMTP server and email on Administer -> Site configuration has to be the same, but I think that should not be because that would have to use the e-mail configuration module.

They are not the same for my test site, and I'm not receiving those (or any) errors. I even reversed my setup and changed my site e-mail address to my Gmail address and my SMTP server to a non-Gmail address, and it still worked fine.
