It looks like the hook_init() will change behavior depending on flags and such which means that the cached CSS and JavaScript files, when compressed, may not work properly at all.

I think that this needs to be changed with either inline CSS and JavaScript or always insert the files.

Also, I was thinking to add more of the SuckerFish JS files to support other modes of display...

This works because the state will not change for a given page.

However, if you make changes to the administration screen, you may need to clear your cache to get things to work properly again.
