I was using Simplemenu in a fluid layout site, which worked fine, but I decided that I want the site to have a fixed layout. The Simplemenu stays left aligned, though, which looks bad in large window sizes. How can I get it to align with the rest of the page? I tried changing the CSS a little bit, but I'm not getting anywhere. Thanks for any help you can offer..

In version 5.x-5.0 I solved this problem by choosing a different CSS selector to attach the menu to. I choose a div hat I formatted just for the purpose of putting simple menu in it. The 'chose CSS selector' is in the advanced section of the simple menu config page.

By default, the menu gets attached directly to the body tag, which will expand the full width of the browser window. If you want any different behavior, silica's suggestion is the right idea.
