I love Simplemenu, I used it tons during my first projects for administrative purposes, and am now considering using it as a site's main navigation. I started building my own module for it because I need some additional features that simplemenu doesn't offer, but I figured that I should check here before creating yet another drop-down menu solution.

These are the features I need, and I'd be glad to submit a patch for them, I just want to make sure that these are in tune with the direction you're taking the module:

- Add option on the settings page to add IDs to each list item for easy theming of individual menu items (for icons, highlighting and such)
- Add a setting to suppress text in the top level menu. So, no text at all. This would allow you to use background images for the top-level menu items, a feature that I require for several of my projects.

What are your thoughts?

I dont think these suggestions fit in with the concept of the module. I would like to keep simplemenu as _simple_ as possible.
