With the module installed it can happen that broken links and html in general appear in the pages.
It doesn't happen in a vanilla installation, it seems related to modules adding css inline.
I identified the problem in simple_menu_icons_css_alter, which alters also inline css apparently.

pifagorFix the issue here - https://cgit.drupalcode.org/simple_menu_icons/commit/?id=bf82813. The patch is out of date, I had to change it.
