Before installing signup_pay, my setup:

I have several roles assigned the 'sign up for content' permission.
Signups are enabled for two CCK content types: a custom "Event" content type, I am not using the Event module, and a "Promotion" content type.

I enabled signup_pay and simple_paypal modules and configured both, double checking the following:
"Enable payment on signup for all new signup enabled nodes by default" is checked.
All my signup enabled roles are listed in the Role Weight field.

Here's where things break down: On the node edit form for my Event or Promotion content types, the "Signup Settings" fieldset is nowhere to be found.

Do you have any suggestions on where I should begin looking to troubleshoot this?

One more thing: although I am not able to see or adjust signup_pay settings on the node edit form, and I don't see any way to pay when signing up, I get the following error after signing up for a node: "You have registered but not yet paid for this event."
