How to best create several atoms at once with a provider [#1933892]

I am trying to create a plupload provider where i receive several files in the hook_scald_add_form_fill().

But scald always creates a single atom and cant really override that with hooks.

I can probably throw that atom away, and create an atom for each file I receive in the hook_scald_add_form_fill(), however I wonder if there is any nicer solution for this?

While hook_scald_add_form_fill() does not accept an array of atoms as argument (and it won't, at least not before 1.1), I think you need to do tricky things with hook_form_alter() etc.
